Why is the picture on my plasma tv snowy?
I just got a brand new 32'' RCA plasma screen tv… my cable provider came out and got me the high definition cable box so it would fit the format of my screen, but the picture still looks snowy to me! My mom and dad insist that it is " fine " but I cant stand the snowy fuzzy look of my picture… I can tell there is something up with it… I am used to having a regular tv so is this just the way plasmas are or is there something wrong with my tv? Please help..

Ahhh, hate to tell you this, but no one, even junk TV manufactures, makes a 32" plasma. If it's 32", it's a LCD or an CRT. Even though you got an HD box, that doesn't mean all channels are in HD! Most are not, and therefore your new HDTV (assuming it is) isn't able to take advantage of an input signal on all channels that shows off the HD.

it might just be the station. i have a plasma and nbc is snowy while cbs isn't. or it could be the connection.

I have seen "digital snow" recently on some HD stations….mostly in the DARK areas of the picture……
There is nothing we can do to fix this….
The TV stations are constantly working to resolve MANY problems with the transmissions. Be patient and they'll have all the bugs worked out in about 5 years….
It took that long to get color signals stabilized back in 1965 to 1970…..
