Im getting a Panasonic 50 inch 720p plasma tv and I want surround sound with good base…What should I get?
I am broke so I can’t afford the 1080p. I just want an home theater system with good base. Im looking at the Panasonic 1250 Watt 7.1 Channel 1080p Blu-Ray Disc Home Theater Surround Sound System. Would I need professional help to fix the TV and the surround sound?

Depends how savvy you are. If you are going to buy a 50" TV that only does 720p I would guess that you aren’t very savvy.

why not get 42" 1080p? im pretty sure they dont make tvs that big in 720p. get a good tv before you get good BASS.

720p is bad for a 50-inch HDTV. Mostly it goes for screens 42-inches down.
