  • Is it true that Plasma TV's dont work well in higher elevations?
I live at approx 5500 feet and was going to buy a new Vizio Plasma TV, but a friend said that it would be a bad choice. Is this true? There have been issues with plasmas buzzing at high altitudes. In fact, some are certified for high altitude operation. My understanding is that most are OK up to 6,000 feet. • Does anyone know about the Vizio plasma television?
My Vizio tv just went out. The green onlight is on, but there is no picture. I have had the tv for 2 years. Go figure, it has a 1 year warranty. I am wondering if it is repairable? I also have a 19 month old that loves to punch buttons. I don't know if he hit something, or if the tv needs to go to the repair shop. Usually I can figure out what button he hit and...

i was wondering if anyone has a Vizio, because this is the first time i've heard of it and i just wanted to make sure its not a bad tv, sony, samsung, panosonic are way to expensive. Hi, I found for you Vizio LCD TVs 42" for $800-900. PLASMA only 60" for $1800. See this link: http://caseyequip.com/o~c-flat_panel_televisions~a-brand_vizio~b-96252.html Good...

  • Can you remove the stand from the bottom of a 50" Vizio Plasma tv?
I'm getting it for my mother, but she wants to hang it on the wall without the stand on the bottom. What is she going to do with the component/connection cables and power cord? Let them hang down, or are you going to professionally install them in the wall? Most people don't think that far ahead until they "discover" that hanging their unit on the wall...

  • Why are Vizio Plasma TV's so much less than others that seem to have the same specifications?
Vizio is a new brand name and has positioned itself as a value leader. Little is known about their reliability, so in exchange for your bargain you are taking a chance on the long-term. Functionally they are very good for the money. The CNET review referenced gives some idea about where the compromises lie. addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fplasmama.com%2Fvizio-plasma-tv%2Fwhy-are-vizio-plasma-tvs-so-much-less-than-others-that-seem-to-have-the-same-specifications'; ...
