lol, whats the last …
lol, whats the last LCD you’ve watched sports on? seriously… I watch movies all the time, it looks absolutly stunning (My samsung 46″ LCD) when watching Blu-Ray movies on it! lol. Maybe my eyes suck, but to me, LCD’s looks neither better nor worse. Samusung ay? my Uncles 50″ samsung Plasma has a shadowed image on the screen which is visible on a white background and he’s had the thing for 3 months, video games? nope, they watch DVD’s and normal TV
A TV’s a ing TV …
A TV’s a ing TV dude! I went LCD because I could not see ANY difference in picture quality, and I shouldn’t have to even worry about burn-in or fade at all, if you buy a stereo, have it on maximum it isn’t suppose to blow! I went with a Samsung Full-HD Series 6 and its absolutly flawless, I have a Blu-ray player and watching movies is absolutly stunning. Don’t regret it! also I play HD games on it with my 360.
Happy feet! Hot …
Happy feet! Hot movie, really. I need to watch my DVD already!
lol y are u playing …
lol y are u playing those games in the dark anyway? that lol id play them out in my backyard at midday if i could
Excuse me, …
Excuse me, Obviously your wrong because you don’t know the common science to prevent phosphor burn. There is less than 2%-5% reports of actual burn in this generation, almost all those people abused their plasma. It’s funny i bet you don’t even know the true science behind image retention, the true problem. When you go to wiki and come back let me know wittle boy, Ugh i love love who think they know they are right, it’s amusing.
Realizing that you …
Realizing that you where wrong hurts, does it not.
Its ok, no one is going to remember it for long.
Decenium Let me …
Decenium Let me correct myself. Plasma ‘burn-in’ is no longer an issue UNLESS your a moron and do moronic things. So I guess it’s a issue to you. I would take a much higher quality HDTV for a little bit of being careful.
LOL
Dude learn …
LOL
Dude learn to read.
To quote you “Burn-In is no longer an issue” there I corrected you.
Now you call me a moron for using a screen in the way I want to use (as a screen)?
BTW I do not have a Plasme nor an LCD, don’t like them so much, tried and denied.
Decenium Your …
Decenium Your obviously a moron. Plasma is not intended to be a Computer monitor. You fall under the column of idiot if you use a plasma display as a computer monitor. The only time when i would say it was safe to do so if it was a latest gen Pioneer. Just quit bro, You lost. FYI you would have to leave a panasonic plasma on a desktop for over 8 hours to see actual burn in. Even then i would bet it’s image retention ( TEMPORARY!)
plasma’s don’t get …
plasma’s don’t get burn-in after only 1 hour(as you’ve said in previous posts) of use you must of just been really unlucky with a defective unit, even if it was brand new it should take 12-36 hours minimum. I’ve literally never seen burn in on a 2008 model plasma, only on Insignia/no-name brand plasma’s, burn-in is virtually non-existent anymore unless you really really want it, and personally I’d keep away from other manufacturers of plasma’s other then Panasonic and Pioneer. PLASMA>LCD
moron you have to …
moron you have to have a static thing on the screen to have burn in.
Why dont you use it as your PC monitor and then leave it at the desktop screen without a screensaver.
Lets see if it wont burn in then.
CRT
CRT
i understand its …
i understand its cheap but it is going on tuesday when when they come to collect it and give me my lcd, also i prefre it in my opinion so its best for me.
You got a budget …
You got a budget Samsung Model, I have 42″ Samsung Plasma that I play hours of Wii, no burn in as of yet. Plasma is far better to watch sports and movies on. The quicker the movement on the screen the worse the picture for LCD.
Please note: i play …
Please note: i play my xbox 360 all the time on my t.v and this is my opion. I had a 32″ lcd (broke after 3 month’s), then i got a 50″ plasma samsung, got burn in straight away lol. Dont get a plasma, im getting a 47″ lg lcd next. No tvs are made to last thses days, get extended warrenty. Also love the brightness on t.v.
What if I want to …
What if I want to play like resident evil or silent hill in the dark what do i get? lcd or plasma? cuz he said lcd is for games but plasma is better for the darkness. Hmmmmmmmn…..
SytheX is on point. …
SytheX is on point. The only way I would purchase an LCD is if I were buying it solely for gaming or in a very bright room. I would also consider one for a bedroom. I watch a lot of sports, am a moderate gamer and watch a lot of movies. The picture on my 50 inch Samsung Plamsa is fantastic. The black levels and color accuracy are better than even the best LCD’s out there. My T.V. is rated to last 100,000 hours and has no burn in issues with things like pixel shift built in.
Aging of the …
Aging of the phosphor, not the plasma.
Actually i do know …
Actually i do know the science behind a plasma. Burn in is the uneven wear or aging of the plasma. In this day and age you have to do a whole lot to get burn in.. If you watched CNN for 3 days straight before 300 hours of panel life than you might be able to cause burn in. The truth is burn in is a non-issue in this day and age. Maybe you should read about. Maybe you have a LCD and you are in denial that plasma is far superior.
Ummmm you are WRONG …
Ummmm you are WRONG. Burn-in is still an issue because the science behind plasma isn’t perfect yet. You have no idea… Go read about it, maybe you have a plasma and and in denial…lol
Burn-IN is no …
Burn-IN is no longer an issue, i play 4-5 hours on my plasma gaming and i have yet to see burn-in. Lcd’s are garbage.. i’m sorry but it’s true.
They said that LCD …
They said that LCD is better for games because of the “burn-in” problem.
Well apparently you …
Well apparently you never say never and absolutely don’t say pop. Either can break down and both will go down in price alot, they are now under 1500 for most and even under 800 for many under 42″. So never say never! Plasma is better for blacks and shadows, LDC only if you can deal with the whites not being very white!
buy lcd companies …
buy lcd companies are going to stop making plasmas but make sure that if you are going to buy an lcd it is of a good quality the best lcd is a sony x series
they are identical …
they are identical hence the 60,000 years each they mentioned….and even at that theyre just half as bright
