How do I use picture in picture function on Hitachi plasma TV for two HD components?
I have a 42" Hitachi plasma TV and would like to watch HD satelite and play xbox at the same time. I have component cables for both devices currently connected to two of the inputs on the TV. The TV only wants to use picture in picture for the cable (coax) connection and any other input device. Is there a way to have HD quality for both items or do I have to choose which one is ran through the coax input?
You model may only have a NTSC PIP circuit. You need to provide a model number to get specific set up, settings and proper hook up.
Your manual on page 28 shows that viewing two HD sources is not available. Refer to the chart on page 29 of your manual.
The TV only has one ATSc tuner in it so you option is to use a lower resolution output ( look like a max of 480i)from both sources to get the functionality you want out of both, unfortunately this is not Hi Def.
