LCD TV / Plasma TV – Which one is much better to purchase ?
While purchasing a TV, what are the points which make LCD superior over Plasma. Points to be compared are 1) Flawless picture quality, 2) Picture Resolution, 3) Wide angle viewing, 4) Contrast ratio, 5) Price.
Plasma is generally better than LCD except when the the room has a lot of ambient light. LCDs are brighter and are easier to see in a bright room.

You have to take into account the size of TV you are looking for, as I don’t think you can get a plasma TV smaller than 42 inches.
You also have to take into account where the TV will be placed. Plasma screens have a problem with glare, and LCD has a brighter picture that is better for your average living room viewing.

You should check out all the point when buy LCD TV. and all these quality is available samsung LCD TV. With my personal experience of 2 year, go with samsung LCD TV. if at all you are looking for tv to use as computer monitor, better buy a lcd "computer monitor" itself.. dont use tv as computer monitors. its not your best buy.. you’ll have hassles of increasing the dpi and then scaling the display etc.. I am using a 26" lcd tv as my computer display.. its good for games and movies which i do the most of the time.. its good for using internet too.. but as soon as you install windows, you’ll have to start installing the video driver and you’ll have to increase the dpi, scale the display etc..
google for some dell or acer or asus displays which are over 32" and they will provide crisp pictures out of box!
