How to repair a 42 Maxent Plasma TV, with no picture but has sound?
Maxent has a Help Line at their website and in their instruction manual. If the tv is more than 1 year old, the repairmen said to throw it away. My last tv lasted 12 years and i didn’t want to throw away my 3 year old widescreen. The 2nd shop i called said the repair would be $400 with no warranty. A new 46 inch plasma is $800.

I have an alternative repair solution. I just took mine out back and put a 32 oz hammer through it. Now I’m off to buy a 52″ Sony Bravia XBR6. Lesson learned? Be cautious where you skimp. This was a bad purchase.
Tried to contact Maxent several times, never responded to me.
I’m thoroughly dissapointed. We just bought this t.v less than 2 years ago. I’m kikcing myself for not going with a better platform.
Serves me right for trying to slide on the cheap!
We have the same situation, I bought two of the Maxents and 2 1/2 years later one of them has sound but no picture, I wonder how long the other will last? This is B.S. that a company wont stand behind there product!!
My 42 inch Maxent just made a noise like it would when you turn on the unit and the screen went blank. Now I have sound and no picture. COuld be just a relay??
Have a 42 inch Maxent plasma. Bulb blew. Only 2 1/2 years old. What a crappy purchase just to save a couple bucks. Best Buy should be ashamed for carrying a lemon product such as this
I bought a 42 inch plasma in 2007. After 7 months started getting white dots all over the screen on dark images. Repair man from Best Buy said it needed a new rear panel, and Maxent didn’t sell their parts. Called Maxent and was still under Warranty, but I had to pay the shipping. I got pricing and was quoted 400.00 with insurance.
Junk! Junk! Junk! You get what you pay for! I guess this would be the proper responds to this Crappy Junk that I purchased. 2 1/2 years that how long it last What a shame. I want to file a Lawsuit. When are these company going to take pride in their products. It should be a law against this type of Fraud! That’s rigth a Fraud. It’s a rip off. Own up to your junk.
