Purchased the Pro 1150 HD after fully review literature and consumer evaluations. Received my unit and after 36 hours of playing time suddenly there was no picture and no sound– only the blinking of a red light in series of three followed by a brief pause then persistent repeating of this fault alert.

Apparently the Pioneer service facility has had a number of similar early failures! Moreover, I am told it will be at least four (4)!! weeks before my plasma screen will be placed on the diagnostic bench for evaluation– then if the problem can be found, additional time from there.

Pioneer reliability should be severely questioned,vis-a-vis Sony, Panasonic, Hitachi and ogthers, from whom Ihave either had no problems or prompt repair. Buyer beware of Elite reliabity and support.
    Pro : available
