  • Is there a special whitewashing screensaver for computers connected to a plasma TV?
My plasma TV has a feature you have to manually set to perform a whitewash, or sometimes called a "scrolling" cleanse of the plasma tv, to prevent burn in. I was wondering if there is a windows screensaver that will do the same thing for me since I use my plasma as a computer monitor. Thanks! I learned that burn in can be an issue — I have the task bar...

Anyone with children can imagine the scenario- small child with hard plastic or wood toy throws it or whacks it against the screen of your flat panel LCD or Plasma TV and before you can get there, the TV has been destroyed. • Hi Guys & Gals, I am planning to buy an LCD TV. Can any one tell me the difference between LCD & Plasma TV.?
And can you also suggest a good LCD tv to buy. In the budget of 40-80K. Currency: INR (India Rupee) I can't recommend a TV in India, because I live in the states, but I can tell you the difference between the two in general layman's terms. The plasma TV uses gases trapped in plasma that show a different color when charged…. (oh gee that's great!!) LCD...

I am mainly concerned about display quality as I use the computer...

  • What is the difference between a plasma tv and a HD tv?
What is the difference between a plasma tv and a HD tv? Well first of all…a plasma TV is the type of TV you're getting…like LCD (liquid like a computer monitor), and DLP (the "big back" tube TVs). HD TVs are TVs that are capable of receiving a high-def signal. You can have an HD Plasma TV, so your question is confusing. Uhh…it's like...

If it has that feature then yes it will support being used as a computer monitor. Some people hook their monitors up with HDMI inputs even though the TV does not offer VGA inputs....
