  • Why wont my Panasonic plasma TV pick up all channels?
We have a Samsung one that picks up film 4 and some other channels where as the Panasonic one which is on the same aerial only has a limited number of channels. I am sure that it used to pick up more than that but it seems to have lost quite a few recently where as the Samsung one hasn’t. Any ideas? More information would attract better answers. You are referring...

  • What is the life span of a plasma television?
Depends on the brand and the age of the set. The first generation ones can have a life of as little as 8000 hours, whereas the newest models have lifespans of around 100,000 hours and it's constantly going up as newer models come out. My Panasonic 50 inch plasma, bought last year, was quoted at 80,000 hours. I guess the lesson to be learned is: don't buy a used...

  • Best Buy almost accidentally gave me a 42" plasma TV- would I have broken the law by taking it?
When I was picking up several appliances at Best Buy, the guy helping me load brought a 42" plasma TV out to my truck. What would have happened if I had taken it? Would I have been breaking the law? I couldn't do such a thing but I have to wonder, since it was practically in the palm of my hand. Well it wasn't yours and you did the honest thing, but you...

  • Computer flat screen panel display (monitor) flashing on and off?
We have went through two flat screen panel displays now. Each night we turn off our screen instead of the computer to put less stress on our computers. Our current flat panel display has been flashing on and off, sometimes so fast that it is blinks of light. We have checked all our connections and everything and still nothing has changed. It chooses when to flash and when...

  • If I made a stand for a flat panel (plasma / LCD) tv would you buy it?
I can make a nice stable tv stand for a plamsa or LCD Tv that is only 16" deep. All over stands on the market are over 2 feet deep. How many of you would be looking for something like that so I would know weather to start producing them or not??? I am finding that most stands for 42" and above that are not the glass shelving type are quite expensive $400 –...

  • Should I buy a 40"-46" Samsung LCD TV, or plasma, or dlp?
Went looking at tv's today. I checked out all the brands. They best picture (color, pixelation, picture change) we found was Samsung (the runner up was Sony). We didn't like the black tones in the DLP, but the salesman said it's better in the dark. (I know the picture overall is better, but color pixelation?) The plasma and the LCD were beautiful, but I...
