  • Can soot from a furnace damage my Flat screen HD Plasma Television?
My furnace needed to be cleaned, and my landlord tried cleaning it himself, instead of hiring professionals. He stuck a vacuem hose up in the furnace, and all the soot went in, and blew out the back of the vacuem, for he didnt have a filter on it. It primarily landed all in the kitchen, but I'm finding it throughout the apartment. Everything I touch leaves black...

  • What is the difference between a plasma tv and a HD tv?
What is the difference between a plasma tv and a HD tv? Well first of all…a plasma TV is the type of TV you're getting…like LCD (liquid like a computer monitor), and DLP (the "big back" tube TVs). HD TVs are TVs that are capable of receiving a high-def signal. You can have an HD Plasma TV, so your question is confusing. Uhh…it's like...

  • Does anyone know how to fix a high frequency buzzing sound on an HD plasma TV. It is driving me crazy! Thanks?
I think it is like the mosquito ringtones for cell phones that only young people(under 30) can hear. It might be the digital cable box too. I have tried everything. If it is loud enough that it is bothering you then it is one of two problems… 1.) You live in a high altitude (Above 7000') and the set is not a HA set. 2.) You have a deffective model. In either...

  • What is the difference between a HD plasma TV and a HD plasma monitor?
Technically there is no real difference… In general its all about what connections you have available for video input, and sometimes video output. Originally, the monitor was simply a TV with special cables to link to a computer. Today – you can use them interchangeably. I suspect that the TV lacks the standard 15 pin input from a computer video out. A Plasma...

  • Help me with my HD Plasma TV resolution?
I have a LG 42PC5D that is suppose to be 1024×768p resolution however when I try to run things (such as my ps3) on either 480p or 720p or higher the screen just goes black with no signal. The only resolution allowed is standard NTSC. What could be wrong? Can someone help me “enable” the HD part of this tv? First, you need to connect your PS3 via HDMI...

Do I need special cables for my new plasma tv? for one you are probably looking a stardard definition programing on your high def tv. this always results in the picture looking bad. in order to truly take advantage of you tv you need to get an hd source. whether that be a blu ray disc player...

  • how is the video picture scanned in a plasma hd tv?
how is the video scanned in hd plasma tv It actually isn't "scanned" left to right. Since the signal is digital, the information is stored in a buffer one frame at a time…this buffer delivers the picture information all at the same time…..oh, there is SOME time lag obviously from pixel to pixel, but each pixel is charged up about the same time...
