  • My Panasonic Plasma tv picture is fuzzy at times even with HD broadcast. How can I fix it?
I have changed cable providers and had the TV examined by a repairman and told the tv is ok. The background is fuzzy at times and pixelated at times, especially with fast moving pictures. The tv is only 1 year old. Is this the fault of poor signal from the cable/tv shows or do I need to change my HDMI cable? Am I expecting too much of HDtv? DVD is fine. First, you...

  • Should I buy a 50 inch plasma tv?
A store near me is having a sale and a 50 inch plasma tv by panasonic is for sale for $680. This tv would be mainly used for playing an xbox 360 on it. This is such a great price, but I heard rumors that gaming on a plasma tv is not good for it. Should I buy it? that’s a great price, mostly because its only has 720p resolution, you wont miss 1080i unless you want...

  • Im getting a Panasonic 50 inch 720p plasma tv and I want surround sound with good base…What should I get?
I am broke so I can’t afford the 1080p. I just want an home theater system with good base. Im looking at the Panasonic 1250 Watt 7.1 Channel 1080p Blu-Ray Disc Home Theater Surround Sound System. Would I need professional help to fix the TV and the surround sound? I wouldn’t bother. A 50 inch tv that only has 720p = crap addthis_url = 'http%3A%2F%2Fplasmama.com%2F50-inch-plasma-tv%2Fim-getting-a-panasonic-50-inch-720p-plasma-tv-and-i-want-surround-sound-with-good-base-what-should-i-get'; ...

  • Which is better a plasma or LCD TV, and what are the faults if any?
I’ve heard that plasma TVs have more faults and are always breaking down and that LCD TVs are better. Go online to Home Theater Magazine and read the reviews on tvs along with the pro and con for each technology. In September issue they featured a Panasonic 42" Plasma and compared it to a Sony, LG, Toshiba and Vizio LCD tv. The Panasonic Plasma was the top choice...

I bought in 2005, we love the picture, would love to fix but? No warranty left, The diagnostic is power light blinks 10 times, is that some sort of power supply issue?, and suggestions? Again is it worth it? We live in northern NJ Model # TH-42PX50u Yes, the power supply most likely has a fault. The TV is telling you as much, and it’s shutting itself down before...

  • Panasonic vs. Samsung Plasma TV’s?
I’m looking to buy a half decent first tv for gaming. I dont have a very large budget (I’m trying to stay under $1000) and I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to two choices. I’d like the set to be at LEAST 42" and I’m sticking with plasma. I was looking at a Panasonic and a Samsung plasma side-by-side at an electronics store. I thought...

  • How to avoid burn-in in Panasonic Plasma Tv?
Avoid keeping contrast at or near 100% Do not raise contrast above 50% for the first 50 or so hours of use, and don’t watch any letterboxed material or anything with sidebars Make sure that the same thing isn’t being displayed on any part of the screen for long periods of time: for example, pause the video game every few minutes, but don’t leave it paused...

  • I just bought a new plasma HDTV, what do I need to do to ensure it lasts?
I just bought a new 54" Panasonic vierra plasma tv. I’ve seen on some sites that there are some precautions to take in the early life of the tv to ensure it lasts long and does not ever suffer burn-in. What exactly are these precautions? The only thing I have really seen is to keep the brightness low and no video games for the first 100-200 hours? Is this right...

  • Hi, What’s the difference between Panasonic Plasma TV model number THP50S10S and THP50S10M?
Most likely country codes. S10 is a series/model number designation. Anything after that is typically a country/region code. There’s typically no difference between the two TVs at all except where they were designated to get shipped to. I’m not familiar with Panasonic’s country code/region code break down though. So I have no idea where those designations...
