  • Plasma tv red sparking
I own (well my dad) a LG plasma TV and about 6 months after we got it, red pixels started sparking a bit, but it only got worse and worse, and 5 years later it’s horrible as you can see. I uploaded this video basically to share my disappointment and because no video of this problem seems to be on the web. If any of you experience this kind of problem, describe it...

  • Motion Blur with Panasonic Plasma TV?
I have two LG LCDs and notice motion blur and "Pixel Lag" especially during fast moving scenes. I recently bought a Panasonic Plasma (TH-58PZ800U) and I still observe this phenomena from time to time, especially when watching concerts with a lot of camera and light flashes. Is this normal? I was under the impression that plasmas to not exhibit this. Plasma...

  • What are the primary differences of a Plasma TV and an LCD TV?
It would be nice if you added the reasons why LCD is better or why Plasma is better. plasma tvs advantages are very bright and vibrant colors as well as deep blacks for fantastic contrast. the burn-in issue wont be an issue on most 08 models…and this is because they have it now so that the image will shift a pixel back and forth..this way relieving that pixel from...

  • Hi Guys & Gals, I am planning to buy an LCD TV. Can any one tell me the difference between LCD & Plasma TV.?
And can you also suggest a good LCD tv to buy. In the budget of 40-80K. Currency: INR (India Rupee) I can't recommend a TV in India, because I live in the states, but I can tell you the difference between the two in general layman's terms. The plasma TV uses gases trapped in plasma that show a different color when charged…. (oh gee that's great!!) LCD...

  • How can i replace the gas in my plasma television? (knowone seems to know?)?
My plasma tv is starting to fade ever so slowly and i need to replace the gas, can anyone tell me how? Ive just been told that you cant replace gas in plasma panels as they are sealed & you have to place 3 different types of gas in each single pixel of a plasma screen, so the next time a sales person tells you that you can replace the gas in a screen ask him how he...

  • what is the difference between LCD tv and a Plasma tv?
is lcd and plasma one? what are the main differences between them, advantages,,etc…. thanks. Lots of inaccuraccies here. 1) While plasma and LCD TVs have similiar useful life on paper, the reality is that LCDs last longer (alot longer). The problem with plasma is that because the individual light elements number in the hundreds of thousands, they can not be replaced....

  • 42" Samsung Plasma TV problem!?
Hello, everyone! I have a 42" Samsung Plasma TV, i think the model # is PN42A410 and i have a problem… When the screen is a solid black, and it has to be solid not one pixel of color, it will then flash as if the black was backlit and shows weird blotches that appear to resemble something close to a negative image. I have taken the TV back twice and it does...

  • how is the video picture scanned in a plasma hd tv?
how is the video scanned in hd plasma tv It actually isn't "scanned" left to right. Since the signal is digital, the information is stored in a buffer one frame at a time…this buffer delivers the picture information all at the same time…..oh, there is SOME time lag obviously from pixel to pixel, but each pixel is charged up about the same time...

Philips 50" Widescreen HDTV Plasma TV Pixel Plus Yeah, I just FIXED ONE YESTERDAY……. That was fun…..removing all those screws and spending hours on it, getting out the $800 board to repair it….. That sound like FUN to you??? If so, select ANY Plasma TV set out there and have FUN….. As for me, MY little package of FUN is the Hitachi 51F59...

  • Which flatscreen TV? (plasma, pixels, LCD, HD… help im confused!)?
Looking at hopefully picking up a bargain in the sales for a new tellie. What should I be looking out for? I think i've ruled out plasma and should be going for LCD but is there a min resolution/pixel req I should be looking out for? If anyone has some sort of checklist of what to look for/avoid it would be greatly appreciated! (What I need is a Dummies guide to technology!...

  • Should I buy a 40"-46" Samsung LCD TV, or plasma, or dlp?
Went looking at tv's today. I checked out all the brands. They best picture (color, pixelation, picture change) we found was Samsung (the runner up was Sony). We didn't like the black tones in the DLP, but the salesman said it's better in the dark. (I know the picture overall is better, but color pixelation?) The plasma and the LCD were beautiful, but I...

  • what is a better plasma tv? hitachi P50v701 or panasonic TH-50pz85u?
Panasonic is by a large margin the best plasma TV. Any Hitachi plasma TV I have seen has been dim & I don't like their color accuracy. The TH-50PZ85U by Panasonic is bright (native contrast of 30,000:1), has the Panasonic Pixel Shifter antiburn-in utility, runs in native 24p frame rate for movies, and has a gaming mode that not only reduces the chance for burn-in,...
