  • Can I place none shielded speakers next to a LCD/Plasma TV?
I have some bookshelf speakers that are not magnetically shielded. When I put them next to my tube TV it messed with the picture. I am buying a LCD or Plasma TV on Friday and want to know if it will do the same thing to the new TV. Doubtful. Tube TVs are much more susceptible to interference from all kinds of sources. A lot of cell phones and speakers mess with the tube....

  • Panasonic vs. Samsung Plasma TV’s?
I’m looking to buy a half decent first tv for gaming. I dont have a very large budget (I’m trying to stay under $1000) and I’ve pretty much narrowed it down to two choices. I’d like the set to be at LEAST 42" and I’m sticking with plasma. I was looking at a Panasonic and a Samsung plasma side-by-side at an electronics store. I thought...

  • Question about Samsung Plasma TV. Wide Color Enhancer 2?
I am fixing to buy a Samsung Plasma TV and want to know if it is worth spending the extra $200 on something called Wide Color Enhancer 2. I pulled up the specs on the 2 TVs side by side and this is the only difference between the 2. What is it? And is it worth the extra? Samsung says this about the feature "it optimizes a given color’s hue, resulting in more...

  • I just bought a 50 inch plasma tv, is it ok to play video games on it?
Its a week old, over 20 hours of use. What aboutn burn out? Yes you’re good to go then. The 20-50 hour rule on video games stems from issues with older TVs. Now its just done as a caution but may well not even be necessary. If you are into the cautious approach also keep the brightness and contrast cranked down for the first 100-200 hours of use. Then optimize...

  • Hi, What’s the difference between Panasonic Plasma TV model number THP50S10S and THP50S10M?
Most likely country codes. S10 is a series/model number designation. Anything after that is typically a country/region code. There’s typically no difference between the two TVs at all except where they were designated to get shipped to. I’m not familiar with Panasonic’s country code/region code break down though. So I have no idea where those designations...

  • My plasma tv (Panasonic )makes an intermittent clicking sound when it is on. Any ideas?
It would be better if you state what you have connected and how. I work for a large TV company (not panasonic) we have run into this clicking sound what we have come to find out many times, if you have an HD cable box connected with component cables this tends to happen to test this (if this is how you are connected) remove only the green component wire you will lose...
